My name is André Bertelli Araújo. I was born in Feira de Santana, BA, Brazil.
At some online chat rooms and forums, I’m also known as Arkanoid or SmileyByte.
I got interested in computers when I was around thirteen years old, when I got a MSX… then as the months passed, I learned BASIC and Z80 machine language. There – another geek was born.
I’m a christian, and besides computers, my other interests include programming, computer games and doing some drawings once in a while.
I have bachelors degree in Computer Science, with a post-graduation course of Computer Network Security. Currently I work as a network and Tivoli administrator for Serpro, and as post-graduation professor. Other interests in this area include free (‘libre’) and open source software (or FOSS for short), including a project I’m in as developer and leader, HLBR (an ‘invisible’ network IPS).
